Before you book
What facial acupuncture is, and what it is not
A plain account in two halves, so you know what you are saying yes to.
Acupuncture, with attention to the face
Fine, single-use needles at points on your face, neck, hands and feet, and sometimes along the body. They are about as thin as a hair, and many people feel a brief pinch or only pressure.
A conversation
We start by listening: your sleep, your stress, your skin routine and what you hope for. We tell you where each needle will go before it goes in.
Gentle work with the hands
Light facial massage, and gua sha if you would like it: a smooth stone drawn across oiled skin with soft pressure.
A quiet hour
You lie down in a calm room. You can rest, ask questions, pause or stop at any time.
And what it is not
Four things we will not promise
Not a facelift
Nothing here lifts, fills or removes. It does not change the shape of your face.
Not a promise about your skin
We cannot say how your skin will look or feel afterward, and results vary from person to person. Anyone who promises a result is guessing.
Not care for a skin condition
We do not assess or treat rashes, acne or moles. If a patch of skin worries you, see a dermatologist or your doctor first.
Not right for everyone, every day
Tell us first if you are pregnant, take blood thinners, have a bleeding disorder or are nervous about needles. We may plan differently, or ask you to check with your doctor.
Questions people ask first
Is facial acupuncture a facelift?
No. A facelift is surgery. Facial acupuncture is a quiet hour with fine needles and gentle hands, and it does not lift, fill or reshape anything.
Will it change how my skin looks?
We cannot say. Some people notice how relaxed their face feels afterward. We make no promises about your skin, and results vary.
Do I need a needle in my face to try this?
No. If you would rather start with gua sha or a facial massage, our esthetician can begin there, and you can add acupuncture later or never.
Come with your questions
A first visit begins with a conversation, and you can say no to any part of it.
