Gua sha facial
Gua sha is a smooth stone drawn lightly across oiled skin. Beulah, our licensed esthetician, uses it with facial massage, working along the face, neck and shoulders at a gentle pressure.
The stone is cleaned between clients, and you can ask to feel the pressure on your hand first.

What to know before you come
Who usually comes for it
Adults who have tried gua sha at home and want to see it done properly, or who would like a slow hour without needles.
What a visit is like
A short talk about your skin and what you use now, then oil, then slow strokes with the stone along the face, neck and shoulders. About an hour, with a blanket if you like.
What you may feel afterward
Light pressure while it happens, and sometimes brief pinkness that fades. Many people feel relaxed. Tell Beulah at any point if the pressure is too much.
Tell us first
Tell us about allergies to oils, skin that is sunburned or broken, a recent peel, filler or injectable, or blood thinners. We skip anything that could irritate, and we may ask you to wait.
How many visits people plan for
One is a fine number. If you would like to come again, we suggest a rhythm and you decide.
What it does not do, and when to see a doctor instead
A gua sha facial does not change the shape of your face, and we cannot say how your skin will look afterward. It is not care for a rash, acne or other skin conditions: see a dermatologist or your doctor for those.
